About the Area
Historic Lewes, Delaware, is known as "the first town in the first state" and is a popular destination, especially for those who are interested in a quieter lifestyle. Between the rich history, wealth of arts and culture, museums, golf, and mile-long boardwalks, there's never a shortage of things to do. Transportation

The free "Red Dart" shuttle and the connecting bus system provide transportation to and from Fenwick Island, Delaware and Ocean City, Maryland, and include stops at the Premier Tanger Outlets in between. A day trip to New Jersey is also possible via the Cape-May Lewes Ferry.
Schools
Shields Elementary, Beacon Middle School, and Cape Henlopen High School are located here in the Cape Helopen School District.
